ITCHEN ABBAS PRIMARY SCHOOL
ITCHEN ABBAS PRIMARY SCHOOL
Our small village primary school is set in the beautiful Itchen valley, midway between Winchester and Alresford. The school’s catchment area includes Itchen Abbas itself together with Easton, Martyr Worthy and Avington.
Our children thrive in a warm family atmosphere with a high ratio of teachers and teaching assistants in small year groups. We have attractive brick and flint Victorian buildings complemented by modern classrooms around a paved courtyard. A playing field, MUGA, playground with adventure equipment for both young and older children, together with a planting garden provide wonderful resources for PE and environmental studies.
The key stage 2 results for 2011 have recently been published - see league table information for state primary schools (click on South East, then on Hampshire, to view our data). We were also delighted to receive this letter from the Minister of Education and congratulate the children involved and all the members of our staff who supported them through their years at Itchen Abbas .
